2020 Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Awards for Investigative Reporting

Please join the Better Government Association online Tuesday, July 14, for the 2020 Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Awards for Investigative Reporting.

In a virtual video ceremony at, we will present three awards to journalists or teams whose stories reveal officials’ corruption, waste, inefficiency, mistreatment and mismanagement. Highlights include:

• Video highlights from the stories of five finalists
• A conversation with BGA President David Greising and Richard H. Driehaus about vital role of investigative journalism in democracy
• Announcement of winning journalists

Because we can’t be together for the ceremony this year, we invite you to participate by voting in advance for the winner of an additional prize: The People’s Choice Award. Stories from five finalists will be shared online shortly before the event so you can read their powerful work and vote for your favorite. Watch for an email with more information and an opportunity to vote.
