David Kidwell will discuss the Chicago Public School’s inspector general’s findings that the deals former CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett steered to friends added up to far more than we knew. Coming on top of the BGA’s recent reports of issues with contracts for computers, this points to a continued need for oversight to make sure tax dollars buy the education Chicago’s children deserve.
